Jesus Christ

"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not
of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you"

I asked JESUS: "how much do you love me"?

"This much". He answered, and He stretched out His arms and died on the cross.

What can I say about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

When God, the Father, the creator of Heaven and Earth, and of all things visible and invisible sends His only begotten Son, who is begotten, not created, and who is of one essence with the Father, and through Whom all things were made... for our salvation.

When Jesus, for us and for our salvation, came down from the Heavens, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became Man; was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, he suffered and was buried and, on the third day, has risen... that must be love so grand that I don't know of any earthly words that would accurately describe it.

We usually use the word love very casually in our everyday conversations: we love our spouses, we love our family, we love our friends, we love our pets, we even use the word love to describe our favorite food, song or movie. But greater love has no one than this; that one lay down his life for his friends. Jesus loves us so much that he did die for us so that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved and have eternal life.

This discovery about our Lord changed my life.

We do a lot of things for the people that we love and return favors for those who love us. But how about the Divine love? God loves us unconditionally and accept us just the way we are, even when we do things that contradict his commandments. This realization made me not only love God, but also live myself as his creation and love all of his creation.

People often ask me why I behave the way I do, why do I not follow the masses. Most of the time I ignore them, but when I do answer them, I can't find any better answer than the words Jesus himself used: "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you". John 15: 18-19.
