About Heaven

Regarding my belief in the after life, the following story says it best.

In the womb of a mother, two babies discuss...

-Baby 1: Do you believe in life after birth?

-Baby 2: Of course. It is obvious that life after childbirth exists. We are here to become strong and prepare ourselves for what awaits us after.

-Baby 1: This is insane. There is nothing after childbirth! What would life look like out of the womb?

-Baby 2: Well, there are a lot of stories about 'the other side'... It is said that out there, there is plenty of light, a lot of joy and emotion, thousands of things to do... For example, it seems that there we'll eat with our mouths.

-Baby 1: No way! We have our umbilical cord and it is what nourishes us. Everyone knows that. We can’t eat with our mouth! And, of course, No one has ever returned from this other life... therefore, these are stories of naive people. Life simply ends at childbirth. And that is that! One must accept it.

-Baby 2: Alright. Allows me to think otherwise. Sure, I do not know exactly what life after childbirth will look like, nor I could prove it to you. But I would like to believe that, in the life that comes, we will see our MOM and she will take care of us.

-Baby 1: "MOM"? You mean that you believe in "MOM"? Ah! And where is she?

-Baby 2: Everywhere! You see, she is everywhere, all around us! We were made by her and it is thanks to her that we live. Without her, we wouldn't be here.

-Baby 1: It's absurd! I have never seen any MOM. So it's obvious that she does not exist.

-Baby 2: I do not agree with your point of view. Because sometimes when everything becomes quiet, you can hear when she sings... One can feel when she caresses our world... I am sure that our real life will begin after childbirth.

Epilogue? We do not know what will happen after we die, just like those two fetuses didn't know what will happen after childbirth. However, just like Baby 2, I believe that life continues (in a different form perhaps) and that we could see the LORD our GOD who will be there to take care of us just like our new born babies can see their mother and she does take care of them.
